Leanne received her first Sasha Doll when she was 8 years old. A Sasha brunette wearing
a pink, belted dress. She was $36.00 at World of Toys. That same year, she also got her first sewing machine. As her Sasha collection grew, so did her sewing skills. Because each doll had her own style, she needed a wardrobe to reflect it.
As time went by, Leanne had less time to “play” with dolls but continued to excel in sewing and patternmaking and eventually went on to study fashion design and fine art in college. Since then, Leanne has contributed her designs to several well know companies around the northwest and is currently creating prints and graphics for the juniors market.
Leanne lives in the Seattle area with her husband and two children, who have no interest in
dolls or clothes.
